What i'm doing to improve

This shot is going to be improved because the camera is slightly shaking and the audience needs to concentrate and see properly what the stalker is doing. This will also make the trailer look a lot more professional.

This is another shot which we are going to edit. We have decided to get rid of this shot and keep the second shot after it where the stalker is already gone. We have decided this as the shot before you can see the victim turn around as she is walking down the same path and he isn't there when she turns around. This will stop confusion in the audience.

In between these two shots, we are going to add another clip. This clip will be in daylight of the stalker looking through the victim's window t where she is in her house. This will show that he not only stalks her in the night time. That impression could be made as right now, all the clips are at night when its dark.

Continuing more filming

Now that most of the trailer is done, it gives me a clear idea of how i can improve it and what additional filming we need to do in order for it to be finished and completed, having told a clear beginning, middle and ending that will entertain my audience and make it look more professional.
The next set of filming will only take some part of the day up as there isn't much left to do. I know that it will need to be filmed in the day time so it will show to the audience that the victim isn't just being stalked in the night time, it is all of the time. Hopefully, the filming will go as quick and clear as the rest of the filming has, and it will be done before the 11th of december.

What were going to film:
-view in kitchen
-new shot of scrolling through the phone
-victim trapped
-victim walking with stalker behind (daylight)
-shot of  stalker with hoodie

Costumes

The victim of the trailer is wearing black jeans, black and white shoes and a black coat. We chose this as it is just a normal casual outfit as she does not realise what is going on.

The stalker is wearing black pants, black and white shoes and a hooded coat. We done this so he is easily hidden in the darkness as he is the stalker.

Camera Shots

We used a range of camera shots including the following:

Over the shoulder shot- This is used to show the point of view from the stalker.

Long shot- This is used to show the whole of the stalker within the dark surroundings.

This shot is used as the stalker recording the victim which creates tension for the audience.

Medium close up- This is used to the stalker and the victim both together which creats emotion for the audience.

Close up- This is used to show the stalkers eyes to create a dangerous impression to the audience.

We have also added multiple text slides into the trailer as we seen it on a style model and also give the audience more ideas as to why he could be doing what he is doing. I think that adding text into it is more professional than speaking with the trailer as the audience might not be able to concentrate on both ( the shots and the speaking) at the same time.

Transactions

In the trailer, there is only a few transactions used. i done this because i wanted the trailer to be more thrilling by just using jump cuts. The only transaction used was the cross dissolve and that was used when there was two shots after each other instead of the black screen with writing. I used the transactions at these times to make the trailer look more professional and unique. Also it gives the trailer continuity throughout.

Location and Filming the shots for my trailer

The first thing we done was arrange to meet, me rachel and ethan. Once we had met, we decided that central park was the best location to film for the trailer as we didn't want to use a typical location such as a graveyard. We met at around half 6 so it was just the right time for when it started to get dark.
Each of the shots which are filmed in the trailer are all in central park. We didn't want to choose anything like a grave yard because that happens a lot when people make thriller films and wanted ours to be unique.  We spent around an hour filming all different kinds of shots and eventually finished.

Planning My Story Board

I have starting planning my story board on imovie. I haven't finished my story board just yet but this is the start. This is the board i want to carry out with to make my trailer. I have used a cross dissolve transaction in here too to set the scene and also a black scene as it will make the trailer look more scary and not to know what to expect next.

Finished Lip Sync Movie

Transactions and Muting For Lip Sync Video

We kept the same transactions throughout the whole video to keep it easy to watch. The transaction used was a fade in.  We also decided to speed up some of the clips in our video so we could get as much of the storyline in as possible. To do this we changed the clip and source duration:
After we done that, we also muted all of the clips except the claps and clicks so you was able to hear the sound of them in the music video and also they fitted into the music. We done this by clicking the clip button at the top bar of the page then scrolled down to the mute button:

Song Choice For Lip Sync Video

We chosen the song 'La La La' by Sam Smith for our music video because it was slow and it had a good story line behind it which was exactly what we wanted to use. Once listening to the song we knew that was the song we wanted to use for our video. After we chosen the song we then created a story line behind it which was a love story between a girl and a boy.

Editing the lip sync video

Me and rachel both took part in editing the music video. We used the same transactions throughout to make the final piece more professional and easier to understand. Me and rachel both agreed to which transactions used and finally came to a decision to which one looks better for the music video. we took a lot of videos and shots while filming and then uploaded them all on to the computer to start using iMovie. Eventually we both came to a mutual decision and decided which ones to use and which ones to delete. We also decided to put the film in a black and white effect. Throughout the whole movie, black and white was the colour scheme.

Costumes for our lip sync video

The actors in the music video will be wearing all black. Wearing all black in front of a plain white background will make the actors stand out more and also more professional.  i will be wearing a long sleeve black top and Emmanuel will be wearing black jeans black top and black jacket.

Location for lip sync video

The location used in our lip sync video was a plain blank screen. We used this as it was more affective and also made it look more professional. Using the blank screen makes the audience focus more on the actor or the actions such as the claps, clicks or lip syncing. For the audience to have their main focus on the actor is an important part of the movie.
